The TeleNav Content Team focuses on developing products that provide rich and update-to-date content to TeleNav's navigation and Location Based Service (LBS) applications. The work include 3rd party data integration, large scale cloud / grid computing and data processing. The work is very cutting edge, challenging, and exciting. We are looking for a technically gifted, highly motivated, software engineer capable of making an immediate impact, contributing to the expansion and fulfillment of the teams vision. Duties and Responsibilities - Development of TeleNav large scale data processing system. - Contribute on proposing infrastructure strategies and design work. - Work with cross product, cross function teams and 3rd party partners for engineering integration and requirement collection. - Work with offshore development team to deliver projects on schedule. Requirements - Extensive working knowledge of Java and design patterns - Experience with architecture for multi-threaded, large volume, large scale system. - Familiar with Linux/UNIX environment as well as Windows - Extensive experience with databases (Oracle/MySQL) design and programming, and OR mapping tools such as iBATIS and Hibernate. - Experience in Apache Tomcat, Structs, and web development - BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent with six to ten or more years of software development experience - Highly motivated, energetic and fearless developer, excellent problem solver - Leadership, problem solving, multi-tasking and good communication skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Must have permission to work in the US Pluses - Experience with Hadoop, GridGain, MapReduce, cloud / grid computing. - Experience with workflow application. - Experience with offshore/outsource team TeleNav is an Equal Opportunity Employer and offers competitive salaries and benefits packages including Health/Dental/Vision, 401K with company match, FSA, Group Life, LTD, Health Club Reimbursement and more.
