TeleNav's Map & GIS engineering positions provides you with a chance to work on the state of the art mapping technology, spatial data structures and algorithms. You will make an immediate impact on millions of mobile users all over the country to reach their destination faster and efficiently. You will help them search to find their destinations faster and efficiently.

TeleNav is a global leader in location-based services (LBS), delivering GPS navigation, mobile resource management (MRM), social networking and local search via a mobile device. Deployed by 15 carriers in 29 countries, TeleNav’s solutions are available on more than 500 wireless devices and run on most major mobile platforms currently available. TeleNav has over 700 employees worldwide.

We're looking for a senior Java engineer to join the map team to build next generation navigation solutions. Work will involve design and improvements of live traffic support framework to accommodate new GIS features. Plenty of opportunities for creative algorithm work and high performance software development. We need people with strong multi-tasking capabilities and interpersonal communication skills and leadership

Responsibilities:
- Develop next generation navigation platforms to improve TeleNav user's live traffic experience
- Develop algorithms such as conflation, spatial & temporal smoothing etc for spatial data
- Plenty of coding

Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computers Science or related field
- Strong background in spatial data structures and algorithms, computational geometry
- At least 5 years of working experience with Java
- Thoroughly experienced with Object Oriented Programming and design patterns
- Excellent coding and quality control skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Nice to have:
- GIS related experience
- Availability to travel to TeleNav offices in China
